This Ticketing Process & Verification Policy explains how My Flights Portal, Inc. (“My Flights Portal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes flight bookings, issues tickets, and performs verification and fraud-prevention checks.

1. Our Role as an OTA

My Flights Portal is an independent, self-operated Online Travel Agency (OTA) and an ARC-accredited agency (ARC No. 33760075).

We act as an intermediary between the traveler and the airline.

  • Airlines control fares, seat availability, ticket rules, and flight operations
  • Ticket issuance is subject to airline confirmation and settlement approval
  • A booking is not considered ticketed until an electronic ticket (e-ticket) is issued

2. Booking Initiation

A booking begins when a customer:

  • Selects an itinerary
  • Provides traveler details
  • Authorizes payment

At this stage, the reservation may be placed in a pending or processing status and is not yet ticketed.

3. Real-Time Availability & Fare Validation

  • Fares displayed or quoted are real-time and dynamic
  • Airline prices, taxes, fees, and availability may change before ticket issuance

If a selected fare becomes unavailable, we may contact the customer to:

  • Offer an alternative option, or
  • Cancel the reservation without ticket issuance

4. Payment Authorization & Security

  • All payments are handled using PCI DSS–compliant processes.
  • Payment authorization is required before ticket issuance
  • No full card numbers or CVV data are stored
  • Transactions may be subject to additional verification for security purposes

A successful authorization does not guarantee ticket issuance if further checks are required.

5. Fraud Prevention & Verification Checks

To protect customers, airlines, and our platform, My Flights Portal performs mandatory fraud-prevention and risk-assessment checks on certain bookings.

These checks may include (but are not limited to):

  • Name consistency verification
  • Billing address validation
  • IP and device analysis
  • Transaction pattern review
  • Airline or payment-processor risk flags

🔍 Name Mismatch Verification

If the payer’s name differs from the passenger’s last name, or if there is a mismatch between:

  • Cardholder name
  • Passenger name
  • Contact details

we may temporarily pause ticket issuance and contact the customer for verification.

This is a standard industry security practice and does not indicate wrongdoing.

6. Customer Contact During Verification

If additional verification is required, we may contact the customer via:

  • Phone
  • Email
  • Live chat

We may request confirmation or documentation solely to validate authorization and reduce fraud risk.

Failure to complete verification within a reasonable timeframe may result in:

  • Cancellation of the reservation, or
  • Voiding of the authorization, where applicable

7. Ticket Issuance Timeline

  • Ticketing may take up to 24 hours (or longer in exceptional cases) after payment authorization
  • Once ticketed, an e-ticket and confirmation email are sent to the registered email address
  • Ticket issuance is subject to airline approval and settlement acceptance

8. Unsuccessful Ticketing Scenarios

A reservation may not be ticketed if:

  • Fare or seat availability changes
  • Payment authorization fails or is declined
  • Required verification is not completed
  • The airline rejects the transaction
  • The booking is flagged as high risk

In such cases, any authorized amount is handled according to payment processor and airline rules.

9. Post-Ticketing Responsibility

Once a ticket is issued:

  • The ticket becomes subject to the airline’s fare rules
  • Changes, cancellations, refunds, and penalties are governed by airline policies
  • My Flights Portal assists with post-booking support as permitted by fare conditions

10. Airline-Initiated Changes

My Flights Portal is not responsible for:

  • Airline schedule changes
  • Cancellations
  • Aircraft changes
  • Operational disruptions

Such events are controlled solely by the airline.

11. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate passenger and payment details
  • Ensuring names match valid government identification
  • Responding promptly to verification requests
  • Reviewing fare rules before confirming booking

12. Transparency & Compliance Commitment

This ticketing process is designed to:

  • Protect customers from unauthorized transactions
  • Prevent fraud and chargebacks
  • Comply with airline, ARC, DOT, and payment-network standards
