At My Flights Portal, Inc., we believe in transparency and professional integrity. As an ARC-Accredited Online Travel Agency (ARC No. 33760075), we provide expert booking facilitation and customer support. This policy outlines our procedures for refunds, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and airline industry standards.

1. Our Role as an Accredited Agency

My Flights Portal acts as an authorized intermediary between you and the operating airline. While we facilitate your refund request, all decisions regarding eligibility, amounts, and timing are determined solely by the airline in accordance with their specific fare rules.

2. General Refund Eligibility

Refundability is governed by the fare type purchased (e.g., Non-Refundable, Basic Economy, or Flexible).

Refundable Fares: Eligible for a return to the original form of payment, minus applicable airline penalties and agency service fees.

Non-Refundable Fares: Do not qualify for a cash refund. However, they may be eligible for an airline travel credit for future use, subject to airline-specific expiration dates and change fees.

3. U.S. DOT 24-Hour Refund Rule

In strict accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, customers booking flights involving a U.S. airport may be eligible for a full refund of the airline fare if:

  • The cancellation is requested within 24 hours of booking.
  • The reservation was made at least seven (7) days prior to the flight's scheduled departure.

Note: This rule applies specifically to the airline's portion of the payment.

4. Professional Agency Service Fees

To provide 24/7 expert support and maintain live GDS connectivity, My Flights Portal charges a service fee for the labor and administrative costs of processing your booking.

Non-Refundable Status: All agency service fees are non-refundable once the ticket has been successfully issued.

Service Compensation: These fees cover the cost of the professional services already rendered by our team during the research and ticketing phase.

5. Involuntary vs. Voluntary Refunds

Involuntary (Airline Initiated): If an airline cancels your flight or makes a "significant change" (as defined by DOT standards) and you decline alternative transportation, we will assist you in securing a full refund of the airline fare.

Voluntary (Customer Initiated): If you choose to cancel your travel for personal reasons, standard airline penalties and our agency service fees will apply.

6. Refund Processing & Timelines

Processing Time: Once authorized by the airline, refunds typically take 7–14 business days to be processed.

Payment Method: All refunds must be returned to the original form of payment used at the time of booking. We cannot issue refunds to alternative cards or via cash.

Credit Statement: It may take 1–2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your bank or credit card statement, depending on your financial institution's policies.

7. Fraud Prevention & Security

To protect our customers, My Flights Portal reserves the right to delay or deny a refund request if we detect suspicious activity, potential fraud, or if the original payment is under a merchant dispute.
